Know the outcome before you commit.
Dateposit should never make you guess what happens to your hold, service fee, Reliability Score, or eligible Vault Credits.
The four standard outcomes.
The exact cutoff, check-in deadline, hold, service fee, and total are shown before each person confirms.
Plan completed
Your commitment hold is released. Dateposit sends the release request to the payment processor; your bank/card issuer controls when the amount becomes available again.
Early cancellation
Your commitment hold is released. A service fee that has already become non-refundable remains separate, except where law or the plan-specific rules require otherwise.
Late cancellation
Standard rule: 100% of the commitment amount can be forfeited, the service fee remains retained if charged, and the canceling person's Reliability Score can be reduced by 10 points.
No-show
Standard rule: 100% of the commitment amount can be forfeited, the service fee remains retained if charged, and the absent person's Reliability Score can be reduced by 10 points.
The app should show the exact deadline.
For a 7:30 PM plan, Dateposit should show the exact late-cancel cutoff and the exact check-in deadline rather than forcing either person to calculate them. If a plan displays a different rule, the rule shown and accepted for that plan controls, subject to the Terms.
A remedy for eligible broken commitments.
After an eligible late cancellation or no-show settles and clears review, the reliable person may receive Vault Credits under the plan rules.
Credits remain subject to settlement, fraud review, payment reversals, chargebacks, and the clearing period shown in the app.
Use credits for future Dateposit holds
Apply eligible Vault Credits toward all or part of an eligible future commitment hold. Credits used in a future hold are subject to the same plan rules as that hold.
Redeem approved digital rewards
When offered, eligible Vault Credits may be exchanged for approved third-party digital rewards available in the Dateposit Reward Center.
Not cash
Vault Credits are closed-loop Dateposit credits. They cannot be withdrawn to a bank account, transferred person-to-person, or exchanged for cash outside Dateposit.
Safety, technical failure, fraud, and disputes need a review path.
Do not stay in an unsafe situation just to protect a commitment hold. If a safety issue, platform outage, check-in failure, unauthorized payment, or other dispute affects the plan, use the report/support process and provide the available evidence.
Safety first
Leave or do not attend if you reasonably believe the situation is unsafe. Contact emergency services when needed. Dateposit support is not an emergency service.
Platform or GPS problem
Use the approved manual code backup when both people are present. A documented Dateposit outage or technical failure should be reviewable rather than treated automatically as proof of a no-show.
Material plan changes
A material change to the venue, date, time, or commitment amount after acceptance should require both people to review and accept the updated plan again.
